HACKNEY SHORTCUTS ENTRY RULES
Hackney Shortcuts The films will be showcased at The Hackney Empire Theatre in the Bullion Room on Thursday the 21st July beginning at 7pm.
Short Film Submission Deadline If you are submitting your film into the competition your film entry must arrive by 12pm Thursday 29th of June. Submission Format Films must be submitted on DVD or VHS only. The title, screening format and running time must be clearly labeled on the cover. Submitted copies cannot be returned (unless self addressed envelope is enclosed) but may be collected from Tractor Films between 10am – 5pm from 15th – 22nd July 2005. Tractor Films aims to finish all selection procedures by the 8th July 2005 and inform all Submitting Parties, via email if their film has been successful or not at that time. Selection of Films
Film entries are reviewed and selected under the following criteria:

- That the films were written, directed or produced by a hackney based filmmaker or largely filmed within the borough of Hackney.
- Quality of storyline and production values.
- The submitted films must be no longer than 10 mins.
- Films submitted into the competition must have been completed after1July 2003.
- Entries must include a preview copy, a completed Submission Form.
Screening Formats

Selected films will be screened on the following formats: Beta SP; DVD; DV or DVCAM. All tape formats must be PAL. We will not be screening films from VHS.
Tractor Films aims to finalize all selection procedures by 11th July 2005 and inform filmmakers who have submitted work via email, if their film has been selected for screening. If your film is selected you will receive 2 free tickets for the event. Your screening tape must be received at Tractor Films by Friday the 15th of July. Prizes A panel of industry professionals will judge the films in each category and a prize will be awarded for the best film in each section. There will also be an audience award which will be voted for by the audience on the night.
